Anyone can learn leadership skills and can be successful in leading others. Organizations all over the world spend hundreds of millions every year training people to be better leader. That is not to say that it’s easy. Nor is there is a simple and program of training that will transform you from a supervisor into a chief executive, from an employee with big ideas into a billionaire entrepreneur, from a talented athlete into an inspirational team coach, or from a government bureaucrat into a charismatic political.
Learning to be a leader, like most things, takes effort and application, practice and dedication – and not simply training. You don’t learn leadership in a classroom. And, most importantly, it takes a particular human quality that turns many people off the challenge: courage, the courage to change yourself, to try things, to experiment, to risk making mistakes and risk failures.

Innovation
Innovation is the basic driving force behind entrepreneurship and the creation of small businesses. Of course, not every new idea has the potential to become a successful business. And in many cases, individuals with good and marketable ideas fail to come up with the capital needed to turn their ideas into reality. But innovation is still a necessary first step for small business success in many instances. Innovation applies not only to new business and product ideas, but also to the internal workings of a company. Successful business owners continually innovate with regards to internal systems and processes in order to create and sustain a source of competitive advantage.

Self Esteem
Self esteem is one of the most important qualities that each of us needs to develop to live an expansive, emotionally comfortable and morally free life. Without sufficient self esteem, we become chameleon, changing our thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors to please a person to get through an experience. Without sufficient self esteem, it is difficult to take the high road when life presents its normal obstacles and problems. Good self esteem is a building block for strong character.
Begin to improve your self esteem by starting small. It cannot be that you wake up one morning to plenty of self love and singing your own praises. Having negative thoughts can come as a result of past habits. Remember, too, that negative programming did not happen overnight either. To get rid of negative programming for positive thinking, time is required. You need to educate, dedicate and practice as often as you can.
To improve self esteem, make a list of all your positive attributes. It does not matter if they are physical attributes that you like about yourself or talents you have. Challenge yourself to add one positive comment about yourself every day. Look for opportunities to affirm yourself positively. Pat yourself on the back when you have accomplished something well, instead of looking at the things that you have failed to achieve. As your list grows, you improve your self esteem and positive thinking takes over your mind.
